We provide clients with creative solutions when it comes to the design and budget of their home renovations. We know first-hand that home improvements cost a lot of money, involve hundreds of decisions, and take a team of well-coordinated subs and vendors. It’s our goal to provide accurate estimates, schedules, a network of tradespeople, and deliverables to ensure our projects are a success.

Ross McDermott is the founder and owner of Little Big Building Company. With an Industrial Design degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, he’s always been drawn to design and building. After careers in photography, documentary filmmaking, and public art management, he felt the need to get away from the computer and work again with his hands. That’s when Ross and his architect wife, Whitney, bought a condemned house and began an extensive full-house renovation over the course of five years (and two kids)! During that time, he became a class A contractor and has had the opportunity to work on some exciting renovations and builds.

LBBC is also building two spec homes in the Ivy/Crozet area, to be for sale in 2024.
